Re-Finishing

The Process

Re-finishing is exactly that – we chemically strip the old doors and then immerse them in more chemicals to remove any lingering contamination. We then apply primers, undercoats and finally 2 top coats to ensure a hard chip resistant finish. If your doors have a feature such as grain eg in solid oak doors, our finish can leave this showing through the new topcoat, or a different process can leave them silky smooth (even if they are already chipped and marked). This is exactly the same process that we already do for some other kitchen companies when they supply new doors to the public.

What Happens in your Kitchen?

We remove all your doors and drawer fronts and take them to our workshop for re-finishing. Items such as end panels, cornice and pelmets etc are painted on site. One of our technicians will prepare and roller apply matching paint to any items that couldn’t be removed. This is normally completed within a day and will leave a finish similar to spray painting. To provide the finishing touch to your new kitchen, we can also replace work-tops, sinks and taps etc. The only people that will know that you haven’t had an expensive new kitchen is you and us… and we promise not to tell any of your friends and neighbours.
